QUALITY ENGINEER


We are recruiting for a Quality Engineer to support our Quality department, ensuring compliance to customer, regulatory, internal system and process requirements.

The Quality Engineer will facilitate and lead both external and internal investigations plus continuous improvement projects where required.

Your responsibilities:
  • Champion of the Quality Related Customer and Firewall KPI´s with targets. Ensure corrective actions in case of deviations by leading of cross-functional Meetings and communication with relevant departments. 
  • Interface to customer complaints / 8D Report handling and Requalification. 
  • Ensure Quality Procedures are applied /maintained and in the event of non compliance, to immediately inform the relevant Manager and Quality Manager 
  • Respond to any customer concern immediately, issuing an 8D report within the customer related due dates. 
  • Ensure all 8D reports to which you have been allocated customer responsibility are comprehensive and are closed in a timely manner. 
  • Support in  PPAP, APQP documentation for any project you have been allocated responsibility for. 
  • Support FMEA activity, working as a team member. 
  • Promptly support quality related production concerns with regular proactive check acc. current standards e.g. production process check 
  • Support Project / product introduction for any project you have been allocated responsibility for. 
  • Reduce customer and internal ppm rating (work for zero defect) and document corrective actions in Action-Tracker. 
  • Support introduction of good working practice as part of cross-functional team such as 5S, SMED, Lean methodology. 
  • Carry out of internal Quality System, Process and Product audits as and when required according to current Audit Plan and follow up corrective actions to a satisfactory conclusion. 
  • Ensure the correct levels of visual standards (samples) are available and maintained by the shop floor Quality personnel at the point of manufacture for the customer product range to which you have been allocated responsibility. (Using physical samples and Photobook standards) 
  • Produce and continually update Photobook standards / Boundary samples catalogue for customer acceptance, ensuring that standards are transparent to all interested parties. 
  • Ensure all customer returns from customers to which you have been allocated responsibility are promptly analysed upon receipt, detailed reports raised, and corrective actions applied. 
  • Drive Internal Corrective Action Reports (CAR) / Action Tracker, 8D systems, A3 Problem solving etc. 
  • Support any SPC activity, providing guidance and carrying out studies as requested. 
  • Support any Trial Production Runs (TPR's / 2DP / R@R) and Customer Audits. 
  • Decide on disposition of quarantined stock.

    IT SENIOR TECHNICIAN


    Based at the main Rassau Plant, the vacancy will be permanent subject to a satisfactory probationary period. The successful candidate will report directly to the IT Supervisor and ultimately to the Group Finance Director.
    The purpose of the role is to support the IT Supervisor in providing IT line support for the whole organisation, assisting in the management of the hardware / software portfolio and in the increasing adoption of new solutions through the business as it expands.
    GTS seek a candidate with a ‘can do’ attitude to support the IT Supervisor who is currently the only dedicated IT support on site. As a smaller company (c. 100 employees) but one which is growing rapidly we seek an individual who embraces the challenge of covering all aspects of IT work in an environment which is constantly changing.     Key skills and requirements:
    • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment

    • Experience of managing & supporting Windows workstation and server environment
    • Knowledge of user management within AD / Azure AD, secure user login, and access to systems with permission management and auditing
    • Good understanding of the principles roaming profiles and Group policies
    • Good understanding of the principles of Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Routing, Switches, Firewalls, LAN/WAN Technologies, and VLAN's)
    • Experience of supporting and administration of the Microsoft technology stack: Office 365, Windows 10, Windows Server 2012 and above, Active Directory, Azure AD and SQL server
    • Knowledge of ERP Systems, (Knowledge of EFACS ERP System in particular & BIRT report writing would be advantageous but not essential)
    • Knowledge of Access Databases and vba coding
    • Experience of Cat5/6 Structured Cabling / Installation including the Installation of Network ports or WiFi access points
    • ‘Can do’ attitude with the ability to work calmly under pressure with minimal direction and supervision
    • Ability to meet deadlines for the provision of hardware, software, or other IT systems
    • Willingness to provide out of hours support as required

      SHIFT MANAGERS (24/7 SHIFT PATTERN)


      We are recruiting for Shift Managers to manage and organise production on a 24/7 shift pattern. You will also have responsibility for the management other departmental staff during weekend / night shifts when direct line management is offsite.

      You will be responsible for production plan achievement as well as driving quality standards and continuous improvement activities.

      The successful candidates will work as part of a busy team responsible manufacturing products, managing customer’s requirements, liaising heavily with other departments from initial order to delivery, meeting agreed service levels and monitoring lead-times.

      Reporting to and working with the Production Manager, responsibilities include:

       

      Your responsibilities:
      • Delivering the production plan / schedule to meet OTIFNE
      • Monitoring and driving Quality Standards
      • Monitoring and managing all aspects of Health & Safety
      • Responding to short term / unexpected changes to plan and prioritise operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
      • Monitoring jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget
      • Communicating potential issues before they arise and inform other relevant managers
      • Shift Reporting
      • Shift Handover with the other Shift Managers
      • Issuing Work and Raw Materials
      • Driving Continuous Improvement activities (including scrap reduction)
      • Appraisals of production staff on shift
      • Cleanliness of the production environment and the site more generally
      • Assisting the Production Manager in driving activities to improve KPI performance
      • Management of other Departmental Staff during Night Shift / Weekend Shifts
      • Training of Shift Staff
      Key skills and requirements:
      • Proven experience as a Shift Manager
      • Experience of working under pressure and being able to react and adjust to the daily changing conditions typical in a dynamic business
      • To be production and quality focused whilst also being driven by delivering outstanding customer service
      • Experience of driving quality improvements
      • Proven problem solving skills
      • Strong knowledge and experiences of lean manufacturing, 5s and Six Sigma would be an advantage
      • Knowledge of Visual Performance  Management and Leader Standard Work would also be advantageous
      • Excellent people skills, combined with strong communication and organisational skills, are required to work effectively, communicating with departments & ensuring service levels are on a right-first-time basis.
      • Experience of working in the automotive industry and IATF16949 would be preferred although not essential
      • Knowledge of EFACS (the Company’s ERP system) would be helpful although again not essential

        PURCHASING ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

        (12-month Fixed Term contract)


        We are recruiting for a fixed term Purchasing administrative assistant to provide an all-round admin support to the purchasing department. Reporting directly to the Supply Chain manager you will join a proactive and friendly purchasing team which consists of a Buyer and Materials Administrator.

         

        Your responsibilities:
        • Provide administration support to the buying team covering all departmental issues/queries.
        • Collating weekly detail for consumables – raising relevant purchase requisitions
        • Expediting, identify at risk deliveries.
        • General filing / scanning of delivery notes/GRNS/order quotations
        • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth running of the Buying department.
        • Undertake projects as allocated to support the Business Strategy.
